Carrer of Mario Casas

Although initially thought to be a footballer or policeman, he soon realized that what he really loved was acting, starting in advertising and succeding ,subsequently, with his studies at the Cristina Rota School of Interpretation. Casas appeared in the film The Summer Rain, although his biggest success was due to his starring in theSpanish television series Los hombres de Paco.

 

In 2009 he appeared in Brain Drain (fuga de cerebros), with Amaia Salamanca, and Fat Lies (mentiras y gordas )and, with Yon González, Ana Maria Polvorosa Ana de Armas and Hugo Silva.

 

He has also participated in SMS a series of LaSexta. In December 2010 he appeared in Three Meters Above the Sky which grossed in its first weekend € 2,050,000 and became the highest grossing Spanish film of the year. In 2012 he released his sequel: I have wanted you with Maria Valverde and Clara Lago which premiered on June 22, 2012.

 

Casas is currently involved in El Barco, produced by Antena 3.
